Wildlife watching
We meet at 4.30pm in Saint-Hubert where you will meet the group and your guide.
After a briefing, we'll start with a 5km walk to the Rouge Poncé duckboard: a deer bram listening area where we'll have a chance to start listening and observing from the top of the watchtowers.
We then leave the listening area to go to a picnic area where we can eat under a shelter.
Your guide will take this opportunity to tell you all about deer behaviour and this very special time of year for them. Don't hesitate to ask him anything you've always wondered about deer, now's the time to find out 😀
Once lunch is over, let's get in the cars and head for various listening areas, from where we can listen to the stag braming.
A keen nature adventurer, Stéphane has been travelling the Alps, Scandinavia, Iceland and the Canadian provinces for over twenty years. Transposing and sharing this adventure in the Ardennes means you can experience these sensations on a regular basis and discover the rich and discreet local fauna (deer, foxes, kingfishers, etc.). Stéphane is a nature guide and a certified White Water Rescue technician for packraft outings.
To get there by train, you'll need to take the connections to Saint-Hubert station. Once you arrive in Saint-Hubert, our guide will pick you up.
