Itinerary

DAY 1 / 5
Night
Bivouac
D+
400m

We meet early in the morning in Termignon for a briefing and equipment check before setting off on our adventure.

After loading our pulkas, we take the ski lifts straight to the top and begin a traverse that will take us to the Fontainettes plateau, around the large high-altitude lake, Montcenis.

This first effort will give us a good start with the pulkas and will be rewarded with impressive views of the surrounding mountains. Once there, we set up our first camp.

A convivial evening over a hot meal before spending our first night in the great outdoors.

DAY 2 / 5
Night
Bivouac
D+
500m

After a hearty breakfast, we're off to explore the slopes of Lamet, a wild area offering some magnificent ski descents. We'll use the day to hone our ski touring techniques with pulkas in an exceptional setting.

In the late afternoon, we pack up camp and move our bivouac to Fort Variselle, where we pitch our tents again. Night falls softly over the mountains, giving way to absolute calm.

DAY 3 / 5
Night
Bivouac
D+
900m

Today we're aiming to climb Malamot. This summit offers a breathtaking view of the entire Maurienne region, a veritable balcony over the Alps. The climb is gradual but rewarding, and once at the summit we take time to enjoy the panorama before descending to our camp. The afternoon is free to enjoy the site and hone your orienteering and pulka handling skills. Evening under the stars, lulled by the silence of nature.

DAY 4 / 5
Night
Bivouac
D+
900m

After dismantling our camp, we set off to reach the Col de Sollières, a remote and wild spot that marks one of the highlights of our adventure. The day is dedicated to progress, with regular breaks to admire the scenery and share convivial moments. Once we reach the pass, we set up our last camp in an idyllic setting. In the evening, a comforting meal awaits us as we prepare for tomorrow.

DAY 5 / 5
D+
1300m

On our final day, we'll be climbing Mont Froid, a summit offering exceptional views of the Maurienne valley and surrounding peaks.

After the ascent, the descent to Termignon will be a highlight of this adventure, with a long slide through snow-covered landscapes. Back in the village, we'll finish our expedition with a debriefing and plenty of memories of these five days of mountain adventure.

What meals will we be eating?

For this expedition, we're working with a local caterer in Bessans who will prepare all the evening meals. So you'll have the chance to eat hearty meals after each day to replenish your strength.

How do I know if I'm at the right level for this expedition?

Do you have a good level of skiing and have you tried ski touring at least once in your life? Are you comfortable off-piste? If you have any doubts about the level of the expedition, you can contact us to discuss it together.

I'd like to pay in instalments. Is that possible?

Yes, of course. We can spread your payment over 2 or 3 instalments. This option is available when you purchase via the website.

⛈ What happens if the metreo is wrong?

If the weather is bad but does not represent a danger to participants during the expedition, the activity will continue. If the weather becomes dangerous, the activity will be cancelled and replaced by an alternative offered by our professional guides.

What is included in the price of a DiscoveRent shipment?

At Wildhartt, we attach particular importance to price transparency for our shipments. Our approach is based on a clear breakdown of costs, aimed at providing a better understanding of the elements included in the total amount. Here's how we allocate the percentages:

  • 30% for our guides: We believe that our experienced guides play a crucial role in the success of each activity. That's why we make sure we allocate a significant proportion to pay for their expertise and supervision.
  • 35% for accommodation and food: We consider comfortable accommodation and quality food to be essential elements of an enriching experience.
  • 10% for equipment and transport: The safety and comfort of our participants is paramount. With this part of the total amount, we can guarantee that the equipment required is in excellent condition and adequate for each activity. Transport costs also come into play when they are essential during an expedition.
  • 25% for expedition participation and running costs: These costs cover the logistical, administrative and organisational aspects of the expedition, as well as the overall management of the experience, from start to finish.

Our aim is to provide you with a trustworthy, high-quality experience, while being transparent about how the final cost of your shipment is shared. If you have any further questions about our prices, please contact us here.
