A night under the stars in a shelter you build yourself using a tarp.
A small-group adventure to share knowledge and experience of survival in the great outdoors.

Itinerary

DAY 1 / 2
Distance
bivouac
Night
bivouac

We'll meet at 9am in Viroinval, where your guides Marc and Adeline will welcome you for an introductory briefing. As soon as you arrive, you'll be plunged into the world of survival.

The morning begins with a workshop on the knots that are essential for survival, followed by a course on how to use a tarpaulin to protect yourself from the elements. Once we've mastered these fundamental techniques, we take a well-deserved lunch break.

The afternoon is devoted to learning how to light a fire, a crucial skill for any survivor. Then you'll learn how to choose and prepare a bivouac site, where you'll spend the night. This first day allows you to fully immerse yourself in the art of survival, while developing essential practical skills.

DAY 2 / 2
Distance
5km

Sunday morning begins with a workshop on preparing breakfast (chiapati and improved trapper bread). Then we guide you through a course on water management: how to find, purify and conserve water in the wilderness. We continue with a session on signposting for rescue, a vital skill in an emergency situation.

The afternoon is devoted to a practical adventure: an orienteering walk to find food in the wild. You'll learn how to identify sources of food and prepare them yourself. This practical experience will allow you to put into practice all the skills you have learned during the course.

We finish this adventure at 4pm. After two intense days full of learning, you'll be ready to face survival situations with confidence. As a reward for your efforts, you'll receive your "Introduction to Survival" certificate. Mission accomplished!

What is included in the price of a DiscoveRent shipment?

At Wildhartt, we attach particular importance to price transparency for our shipments. Our approach is based on a clear breakdown of costs, aimed at providing a better understanding of the elements included in the total amount. Here's how we allocate the percentages:

  • 30% for our guides: We believe that our experienced guides play a crucial role in the success of each activity. That's why we make sure we allocate a significant proportion to pay for their expertise and supervision.
  • 35% for accommodation and food: We consider comfortable accommodation and quality food to be essential elements of an enriching experience.
  • 10% for equipment and transport: The safety and comfort of our participants is paramount. With this part of the total amount, we can guarantee that the equipment required is in excellent condition and adequate for each activity. Transport costs also come into play when they are essential during an expedition.
  • 25% for expedition participation and running costs: These costs cover the logistical, administrative and organisational aspects of the expedition, as well as the overall management of the experience, from start to finish.

Our aim is to provide you with a trustworthy, high-quality experience, while being transparent about how the final cost of your shipment is shared. If you have any further questions about our prices, please contact us here.
