Mountain Climbing
We'll meet early in the morning at the Charamillon cable car, where our guide will welcome us to begin our adventure. After a panoramic ascent, we'll head to the Tour glacier for a technical session: learning the basics of progressing on a glacier, braking on a snow slope and other essential techniques for the climb ahead.
At the end of the afternoon, we'll reach the Albert 1er hut (2702m), perched in front of a breathtaking glacier panorama. We'll then have some free time to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the refuge before a convivial dinner at altitude.
We wake up at dawn for an early morning ascent. From the Albert 1er refuge, we'll head up the Tour glacier to reach the Col Supérieur du Tour. At first light, we'll pass over the Trient glacier, offering a superb contrast of light and shadow.
The day's objective: the Aiguille du Tour or the Tête Blanche, depending on the weather conditions and the energy of the group. We'll be practising our glacier climbing and belay techniques. After the ascent, we'll make our way back down to the valley, bringing to a close a day rich in learning and excitement.
We'll start the afternoon with a cable car ride up from Bellevue, followed by a train ride to the Nid d'Aigle. Once there, we'll take an accessible path that winds its way gently up to the Tête Rousse glacier. Here, at an altitude of 3167 metres, we reach the refuge of the same name.
After settling in, we'll enjoy a well-deserved evening's rest in the warm atmosphere of the refuge. There will also be a detailed briefing to help us prepare for the long-awaited ascent the following day.
The long-awaited day begins at dawn. After a quick breakfast, we'll climb the rocks of the Aiguille du Goûter to the refuge of the same name (3800m), where a short break will allow us to regain our strength.
We then continue towards the Dôme du Goûter, cross the col and reach the Vallot hut. The final stage, the Bosses ridge, will require concentration and endurance to negotiate this technical passage, but the reward will be unforgettable: the mythical summit of Mont Blanc at 4810m.
After a well-earned break at the summit to savour the panorama and immortalise the moment, we'll head back down to the Goûter refuge for a well-deserved rest.
After a gentle wake-up call and a final breakfast in the refuge, we'll begin the descent to the Nid d'Aigle, where we'll take the cogwheel train back to the valley. The expedition ends in Chamonix, with a wealth of memories and the satisfaction of having met an exceptional challenge.
Passionate about the mountains, I discovered climbing in the Bouches-du-Rhône before diving into ski touring in the Ecrins. Since then, I've explored various mountain ranges, from Mont Blanc to Dévoluy, in search of pleasure and sharing. For me, the mountains are all about human adventure and working together on projects.
