Welcome to the Bauges Regional Nature Park! We meet at the car park at 8.30am. We get to know the group and the guide explains the itinerary that awaits us. We check our bags and set off on a leisurely ascent through the forest towards the cross. This is a superb viewpoint from which we can admire the Trélod rising up in front of us. We continue through the mountain pastures to our summit for the day at over 2000m. It's an opportunity to take a look around and talk about the geological history of the massif.

We descend through the combe, beneath the foothills of the highest point in the Bauges... We then pass through the valley before climbing back up to the refuge. The reward for all this effort is the refuge, situated in a privileged spot, and perhaps we'll be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a few chamois!

After breakfast, we set off, this time starting downhill. A gentle warm-up before gradually climbing towards the col at 1700m. We then set off to climb one of the prettiest peaks in the Bauges, once again topping out at over 2000m. There are 14 peaks over 2000m in the massif! A superb climb along a steep path, then over ridges. It's a great view of Mont Blanc and the Alps!

After taking a break at the summit, we head back down to the col for a bite to eat before switching to the other side of the valley. A few passages through scree and forest before climbing back up to the refuge. We're welcomed into a refuge with a splendid view... Enjoy a delicious drink or snack with a view while you wait for your meal.

It's going to be another beautiful day, with a whole new range of landscapes! We set off along a balcony path with views of Mont Blanc, then descend into the Combe d'Ire along a pretty forest path. From here, we'll head up the other side to reach the mountain pastures of Montagne de Charbon, with a choice of climbs as we'll be surrounded by several peaks. Whichever one we choose, the view is there for the taking... And we'll have plenty of time to enjoy it.

We'll then take the GR down a magnificent path beneath the cliffs, an opportunity to talk about some of the birds of prey that nest there, before returning to our refuge for the night. A goat farm producing delicious cheeses...

Here we go for the final day, which promises to be even more varied. We climb to the pass before reaching the Ecurie mountain pastures. It's a steep climb, but well worth the diversions, and above all: we'll be able to retrace our steps over the last 4 days at the summit!

We'll finish beneath the foothills of Trélod before returning to the small hamlets of the valley. We'll pass by the church in Jarsy before returning to the car park at around 4pm and saying our goodbyes...

Mountain Leader (AMM)

FrenchFrench

After two long trips that made me fall in love with the mountains, I decided to settle in the Alps. I chose Chambéry, an ideal location between the Bauges, Chartreuse and Belledonne massifs. Since 2024, I've been devoting myself fully to my job as a mountain leader, a career change that allows me to combine exploration, environmental awareness, a taste for challenge and training, all in the heart of the mountains, a fascinating and constantly evolving environment.

What is included in the price of a DiscoveRent shipment?

At Wildhartt, we attach particular importance to price transparency for our shipments. Our approach is based on a clear breakdown of costs, aimed at providing a better understanding of the elements included in the total amount. Here's how we allocate the percentages:

  • 30% for our guides: We believe that our experienced guides play a crucial role in the success of each activity. That's why we make sure we allocate a significant proportion to pay for their expertise and supervision.
  • 35% for accommodation and food: We consider comfortable accommodation and quality food to be essential elements of an enriching experience.
  • 10% for equipment and transport: The safety and comfort of our participants is paramount. With this part of the total amount, we can guarantee that the equipment required is in excellent condition and adequate for each activity. Transport costs also come into play when they are essential during an expedition.
  • 25% for expedition participation and running costs: These costs cover the logistical, administrative and organisational aspects of the expedition, as well as the overall management of the experience, from start to finish.

Our aim is to provide you with a trustworthy, high-quality experience, while being transparent about how the final cost of your shipment is shared. If you have any further questions about our prices, please contact us here.
