We'll meet at 9am in Le Bois d'Amont, near the Tourist Office, before setting off for Le Brassus in Switzerland, just 15 minutes away. Once there, we'll have a briefing and check our equipment before starting our trek.


As we arrive on the high plateaux, we'll cross immense white spaces reminiscent of the landscapes of Lapland. For the more motivated, we can climb Mont Tendre, the highest point in the Swiss Jura (1679 m)! From up there, the view is breathtaking, stretching over the Alps and the Jura chain.


We'll then continue on to the Cunay hut, an isolated refuge nestling in the heart of the mountains. Its location and atmosphere make it an ideal haven of peace for a night in the heart of nature. We'll make the most of this cosy place, where we'll spend the evening and the night.

After a good night's sleep in the refuge, the longest day of hiking awaits us. We begin our route with a gradual descent to the Col du Marchairuz (1447 m), before plunging into the Combe des Amburnex, a veritable geological masterpiece. This is one of the longest and most majestic combs in the Jura, alternating between open landscapes and areas shaded by spruce trees.


At the end of the path, we come to the Pralets refuge, an authentic Jura mountain chalet. A friendly atmosphere awaits us here, ideal for enjoying local specialities together.

On our final day, we'll be heading for Mont Salaa (1511 m). Situated on the ridge that once marked the border with France, this emblematic summit of the Bois d'Amoniers now offers a spectacular panorama, dominating the suspended combe of Les Bégnines.


Before crossing the border to Bois d'Amont, we'll explore the Petits Plats region, an area dotted with alpine chalets and old lodges steeped in history, whose fascinating tales our guide will be delighted to share. We finish the day with a gentle descent to Bois d'Amont, marking the end of our adventure.

The guide: During these 3 days you will be accompanied by an experienced guide who will share his passion for the region with you.
Nights in mountain huts: You will spend the 2 nights in shared rooms in comfortable, authentic mountain huts in the Swiss Jura.
Catering: All your meals are included in the price of the expedition, from dinner on the first evening to the last picnic. You'll be able to sample local dishes and discover the authentic specialities of the Jura region.
Equipment: Snowshoes and hiking poles adapted to your size will be provided.
The return transfer on the last day to take you back to the starting point of this winter trek.

What equipment do we need?

Once your registration has been confirmed, we'll send you a personalised roadbook for your trip containing all the practical information you need, including a list of equipment you'll need to take.

Will I have to carry a rucksack on the various hikes?

Yes, as we'll be doing a roaming tour, you'll have to carry your rucksack on the hikes as we don't plan to transfer your luggage.

How do I know if I have the level required to take part?

Do you feel up to walking around 12km a day for 3 days? You're not afraid of carrying your rucksack all the way? Ideally, you'll do an endurance sport at least 1x a week, so you've got what it takes for this expedition!

How comfortable are the rooms?

The refuges offer a certain level of comfort: you will sleep in a single bed in a room shared with the other participants. Blankets are provided, but it is advisable to bring a sleeping bag for reasons of hygiene. There will be heating, showers and electrical sockets.

⛈ What happens if the metreo is wrong?

If the weather is bad but does not represent a danger to participants during the expedition, the activity will continue. If the weather becomes dangerous, the activity will be cancelled and replaced by an alternative offered by our professional guides.

What is included in the price of a DiscoveRent shipment?
