Frequently asked questions

What type of bike will I be using?

You'll have a gravel bike that's designed for both road and rough terrain. More comfortable than a road bike thanks to a more relaxed riding position, it's also more stable on varied terrain. Its wider tyres give it better grip on gravel and paths, while its sturdy frame means it can handle uneven terrain with ease. If you wish, you can also bring your own bike.

Will I have to carry heavy loads?

This is a touring adventure, which means you'll have all your gear with you when you go out in the packraft and when you cycle to your accommodation. The itinerary is designed to leave you as free as possible of your belongings on certain sections.

Where am I going to sleep?

You'll sleep in a range of private accommodation, carefully selected for its comfort and relaxing setting. Each accommodation has been chosen to offer a pleasant experience tailored to your group, with particular attention paid to the charm and authenticity of the surroundings. Depending on the stage, you'll be able to stay in typical, traditional accommodation steeped in local history, or in more modern, spacious spaces that guarantee maximum comfort after days of adventure.

How many per packraft?

Throughout the trip, you'll be sailing alone in your packraft. But don't worry, your guide will never be far away in case you run into any trouble!

What type of clothing should I bring?

To have the best possible expedition, it's important to bring clothing that's suited to the weather. Before you leave, you'll receive a roadbook with a checklist of the clothes you need to pack to help you prepare for the weekend.

Are there times set aside to visit certain iconic sites?

Our expeditions and the programme are carefully prepared in collaboration with your guide to offer you a great adventure. A structured itinerary is planned, but we also know that it's your holiday! Naturally, breaks are built in so that you can enjoy the scenery, catch your breath and savour the moment whenever you want.

Can I privatise this expedition for my group?

Yes, all our expeditions can be privatised for a group already formed, on the dates of your choice.

To make your request, go to the expedition that interests you and click on "Privatise the expedition". We'll take care of the rest!

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, absolutely! At checkout, you can choose Alma to pay for your booking in 2, 3 or 4 instalments. Just select Alma during checkout and follow the instructions. It’s simple, fast, and secure.

What does the price of a Wildhartt adventure include?

At Wildhartt, transparency is key. The price of your expedition reflects a clear breakdown of costs:

  • 30% for our guides, the backbone of every adventure.
  • 35% for accommodation and meals, essential for your comfort.
  • 10% for gear and transport, to ensure safety and smooth logistics.
